Snowmobiling and Happy New Year, 2016
Every year, my family and I go up to the "middle of nowhere" Wisconsin for some good old fashioned log cabin living and arctic tundra snowmobiling.
This is my favorite time of year. I'm a hockey player at heart and there's something about the snow and the ice (and running inside with your toes frozen for a hot cup of coffee next to the fire) that makes me feel right at home.
What I love about this trip that we take is that it gives me some quiet time to really take a hard look at the previous year and see where I improved, where I fell short, what habits I formed that were good and which habits I need to shift. I spend about two days re-reading my journal from start to finish, and then as my own "ritual" I start a new journal and set my intention for the next year. I think for personal development this is extremely important, and something I suggest to anyone and everyone that asks me about my own particular process.
